Yes, you are screwed, and as far as this site changing, it has changed a ton since a couple yrs ago.

Never had a reason to break into the resivoir but I just went and looked at mine and I'd say it looks like you can remove the whole lug that the screw sits in. I'm pretty sure the screw has a shoulder that prevents it from backing out but not 100%.
Sorry I can't be of more help as the shop manual doesn't cover any internal repair of the resivoir.
Won't say your screwed but I would watch the garage thread and ebay for a rear shock.

Yea...i just had my rear shock rebuilt about a year ago too...DAMN oh well ill see if there is a part number for the screw assembly and if there is thats the route i will go and i would imagine i would need to get the shock refilled then as well....but for now i guess ill just leave it...shes half way out so its in the middle setting so the ride isnt that bad i can deal with it just by adjusting the spring just gets a tad bumpy at times. Yea its to bad this forum has changed i barely see anyone i even know or remember on here anymore except a couple of you guys.

Hopefully you'll be able to get the setting that you need with the adjustment screw on the bottom of the shock along with the spring adjustment. Should be something you could live with until the right deal comes along.
