Default Engine rebuild***Best Manual???

My 07 Sportsman 500 ran out of oil and I'm pretty sure I need at least a hone job and piston & rings. I already got the motor out. Now I'm trying to decide if to take it to the shop or do it myself. If I do it myself I need a good repair manual. Any suggestion on which manual is the best to get.
Also where to get it with best price.

oem polaris manuals. i would think you burned the crank bearing as well. if you dont have the tools to mic and what not the engine i would let a machine shop do it myself. imo.

If you ran this thing out of oil, a manual is going to be the least of your problems.

Every single part that touches metal to metal is at the very least going to have to have a hard look at. More than likely replaced.
Cam
Cam chain
Cam sprocket
Rocker arm
Head (if no bearing insert)
Cylinder (If scratched too deep)
Guides
Valves
Piston
Wrist pin
Rings
Rod
Crank
Crank bearings
Probably missing a bunch more parts?

When you run an engine "out" of oil you can pretty much throw it away and save nothing but the bolt on's.

If you want to really fix this thing please take stendori advice. It's very good advice.
