honda 300ex has spark and fuel but wont start
#1
Hey everyone im new at this, but i have been messing with fourwheelers for a while now.My brother bought a 300ex for dirt cheap and we cant seem to get it to run.It has very good spark, has good compression, but it wont start. If you try it by the button it will start then die over and over,as soon as you give it throttle it dies again, but if you dont give it throttle it dies anyway. And when you try to pull it off behind another fourwheeler it wont try to do anything at all it just acts like it doesnt have spark or anything.Im stumped any help would be appriectiated. Thanks

Sounds like a fuel problem to me, pull the fuel line at the carb. to make sure it's getting to the carb. if it is then clean the carb. or just rebuild it. Those jets can get clogged real easy especially if it's been sitting it's probably gummed up. P.S. welcome to the site.
