As the title states, I trying to get a reasonable figure for what a 2000 DS650 is worth, with the On Dunes exhaust end cap, big gun rev box. Not much else done to it.

I've got four DS's and the last two that I picked up were an 03 in nice shape two years ago for $1400, another 03 purchased in 05 with less than ten hours on it for $3000. It all comes down to how bad you want it or how bad you want to sell it. Keep an eye on ebay and Craigslist and look at how many are relisted over and over for months from folks thinking they can still get $2500-3000 for the older machines.
Last year at Chaparral, the nations highest volume dealer, they sold their last two 07 DSX's for $4188. I see people still asking close to that for 01-02's that are battered and beaten.
Like I said, it boils down to how bad you want it or how bad you want to see it gone...

Personally I wouldnt give over $2k
