Default Can't get 07 800 started

I can't seem to get my 07 800 started. It seems that the battery won't hold a change at all, I can't even get it started with the starter connected. I tried to jump it, but it just clicks when I do that. Any ideas? Is it the battery, or something else?

clicking is the solenoid. sounds like the starter may be bad, or the battery very weak. if it doesnt attempt to start while jumping it would make me lean more towards the starter... i would check all connections at the battery and at the solenoid all the way down to the starter to make sure nothing is loose.

sometimes tapping/hitting the starter with something can make it work again.... if that makes it work i would then replace it. i had to do this on my 400 2 stroke, it worked for a couple times after that lol... what happens sometimes is the brushes get worn down, hitting it frees them up slightly to make better contact with the armature.

Do you think it could be both the starter and the battery? I know the battery won't hold a charge, because after charging it over night on 2 amp, it still won't even light up the display. Maybe I will start with the battery today, and then go from there.

DOA on the battery, if no charge can be held. Check around, good deals, Poo gets around $140. Check Batteries Plus and others, and its not your standard ATV battery

I jumped it off the charger at 50 amps, and with a car.

Is there any way to add water to a sealed battery. I think the answer is NO, but wanted to ask.

A battery with a bad cell will suck the jump which is probably what is happening here since the battery actually doesnt sound that old.

When you try to jump a bad cell it just sucks up all the juice.
