If you are talking about a normal battery charger to have around the garage/house.
I have one just from a local parts store that does 2 amp 10 amp and has a 50 amp starting .....Also FULL Auto shut-off is a must ......
Mine also has the Deep-cycle switch for my boat batteries.......Caper.

I use two different types of chargers
A small Battery Minder model:
BatteryMinder Battery Charger / Maintainer with Desulphator — 12 Volt 2/4/8 Amp, Model# 12248 | Battery Maintainers | Northern Tool + Equipment
And a larger Schumacher wheeled charger/starter:
Schumacher Wheeled Starter/Charger — 200/100/40/10/2 Amp, Manual, Model# SE-4022 | Battery Chargers | Northern Tool + Equipment
For most purposes the Battery Minder model is more than enough and does some fancy stuff the big Schumacher model doesn't. I tend to charge stuff on the Battery Minder and use the wheeled Schumacher for larger jobs like jump starting and such.

I have a normal automotive one, that has 2, 10 and 50 amp. Is there any problems with using that? I am having a hard time getting my battery to charge enough to get it started. I have an 07, sportsman 800. Of course it doesn't have a pull starter. Doh!!
