I recently moved and ive had to keep my 400 outside, I have a cover on it. Yesterday went to crank it up and it simply wouldnt turn over I was pressing the starter so much i almost killed the battery. Could it be that the gas is bad? I really dont know, if anyone has some insight that be great.

Yes, gas is bad. You may have to take the carb off and apart and clean it with carb cleaner. Then drain all the gas out of the tank. Then put fresh in antry again. And DON'T crank the starter that much. It's not the battery you should be concerned about - It's the STARTER. You'll fry it. If it doesn't start in a few seconds, there's a problem.
