Went to change the rear pads last night and I couldn't get the caliper/pads over the rotor. It's too tight of a fit. What's the trick? I'm using EBC pads and I have pushed the piston back into the caliper. I tried to force the caliper onto the rotor and scored one of the pads. I had to give up before I broke something! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sit down, smoke a cigarette. I get frustrated as well when things aren't going as well as they should be. I just walk away and take a breather.

First of, take the pads off of the caliper. Get a can of brake parts cleaner, and spray the hell out of the caliper. I would advise you to wear safety goggles when doing this, no joke. Spray it in every nook and cranny. You would be surprised what one little molecule of dirt will do. Let all of the cleaner evaporate. Then spray the caliper liberally with WD-40. Let that sit a minute, then make sure the cup is pushed all the way in, reset the pads and try again.
