Default Tie rod popped off?

Today some friends and I were having an offroad adventure day and all of a sudden one of my tie rod ends popped off of the steering shaft!!

I'm not sure how it happened but luckily we were able to use a pry bar and pop it back on so I could get home.

Any suggestions? advice? personal experiences?

I think it is time to install some new tie rod ends. For me they last about 4000 miles.

Yeah, replace all of them.

What machine/year?

Honda had a recall a while back...

I think the recall was for circa 05, and I think it effected several brands?

Anyway, tie rod ends do wear out. Usually they give a little warning (slop) before they seperate.
