Default Will headlamp mod in 2001 Sportsman 400 cause a short?

I performed the headlamp mod on my ATV a few years back, and have been hearing of complaints about people shorting out their lights. Is this possible? I did mine the correct way and haven't had a problem in the 3 or 4 years since I've done it. But can it still short out due to overload? I really don't want to go back to having just either the lows or highs one at a time.....the lighting sucks that way. Thanks.

i can agree to that. but id guess if it would short out to another hot wire it be an oem wire. but then theres alota shoty/shitty/cheap *** work out there. least iv seen anyways. if you used heat shrink and soldering along with zip ties i can see no issue with it.
