Default 300ex tire set up

is anyone running a 300ex with 22's front and 20's rear? i need some new rear tires and thinking about going from 22's to 20s. i still need some ground clearance for trail riding, but some speed gain would be nice.

Default Tires

That is exactly what I am running. My 300ex has the matching tires to my stock 450er. Ground clearance is not an issue at all. They also seem to add a little stability to the machine.

I ran ITP Holeshot XC's which are 22" front/20" rear on my 300....as I also do on my 400 and 450. Never missed the 1" of clearance I lost compared to running 22".

You mentioned "speed gain". You will lose top speed with smaller rear tires, but will gain low end torque. This is a tight trail quad, so low end is what it is all about.....

also runing 450r tires on mine. big improvement over stock for cheap oposed to buying new ITP's or maxxis's which are also very good just not really neccesary for the 300. ground clearance still good, i mainly ride trails and light track so im going to a 18". the acceleration is incrediable compared to the 20s or 22s. and still has good clearance for my kind of riding biengs i dont do to much top speed riding. if you dont wanna give up any top end then defintely 20s.
