Angry 09 550 efi trv starting problem

After my atv sits for a couple weeks I try to start it and it won't. Ends up flooding even though I don't touch the throttle. wondering if anyone has any tips or suggetions?

check your battery, you may not be getting the voltage needed to get it turned over fast enough. the clock stays on on these machines even though you cant see it. you should invest in a battery tender and use it if the bike sits for a long period of time. this is the only advise i have and it probably is not the answer.

I actually have a battery tender that came with the machine when I bought it... I thought of that too and tried it but it was already flooded so it didn't matter at the time... I have since charged the battery fully but am still waiting for it to sit for a couple days before I try again. thank you so much for replying... New to the forum and I wasn't sure if anyone would respond... thanks again and if you come up with anything else be sure to let me know..

I would say it is either the battery as well OR choke. I am not sure how the EFI operates its choke if it has one. I am assuming it is electronically adjusted. Since it is an 09 if you continue to have issues take it in under warranty while you can.

Also use a little SeasFoam Fuel additive/stabilzer all the time. That way if you let it sit for a few weeks you do not need to worry about fuel issies as much. Plus it should keep the whole fuel system clean of junk.

As far as battery tenders go make sure you have one with an auto float or auto shutoff so you do not cook your battery over a long period of time.
