550 axles

Default 550 axles

i have been reading about the axles on the 850 being bad, what about the 550 axles? just wanted to know because it seems i get a whine above 30 mph is this normal or should it be checked and yes the fluids are fine. the quad has 165 miles. thanks

If your 550 is a 09 then yes get the axle changed by dealer they use the same 09 850 P# 1332584 axles that are being changed to the new 2010 P#1332809 axles which are also now on the newest 550 as well.

But for the motor,the 550 and 850 are the same ATV. So if one has a chassis problem so does the other.

My 550 had to have the axles replaced as well.

Even if your 09 XP has the defective 1332584 axles and shows no problem yet I would still get the new stronger 1332809 axles install right now,in case down the road Polaris gives a person a hard time about it because its been 2 years and is old news.
