Default trailboss 325 trouble starting

my sons 325`s problem is when we try to start it,it seams like the starter bendix does not catch the flywheel long enough for it to kick over, anybody know what the fix would be for this, thanks in advance for any help.

Remove recoil cover and check teeth on starter bendix,if sharp and worn could cause "kickback" not staying engaged with flywheel, could just need to be replaced. Also if spring is stretched and worn or bendix is dry(needs grease at frontcup and shaft) can cause sticking.

Make sure the battery is good, if battery gets weak it will cause these symptoms.
