Unhappy Outlaw 500 will idle but dies when giving it gas

I have a 2006 Outlaw 500irs I was riding this past summer when the quad just died. I started it back up and would idle fine but as soon as you give it gas it dies. Thinking it is a carb problem maybe a pluged jet or something. How hard is it to clean the carb on these macines? What is the chance that it is the throttle switch that polaris uses? I have heard they will cause problems if they get out of adjustment.

I have fixed it. Not sure of the proper name for the part but there is a black plastic slide inside the carb that moves up and down, it was stuck wide open, or all the way up. As soon as I would give it gas it would lean out the mixture and the bike would die. Not sure what caused the problem but glad it is fixed!
