Speedometer Magnet Issue
#1
Speedo was working until this past weekend when i went through a lot of mud and water. it just stopped. the hour meter works and the lights all work as well as 4x4, just the needle went out.
I pulled the sensor down near the wheel and the noticed the sensor had a little slice through it, like a rock or stick was hung on it for a bit and wore it a little.
i assume this is why it stopped, but is there a way to possibly fix this without replacing the hole cable. this is my 2nd cable and these things are not cheap. thanks

well, I suppose you could probably solder it back together, and hope it works, but if that doesn't work, I'd say you'll need a new cable, and if you get a new one, you might try putting some small wire loom around it, so it is a little more protected, if this is your second one

is it just a magnet? or a metal/magnet combination? or what?
the slice in it is across the middle. looks like someone took at penny and ran it across the surface lots of time.
i was wondering if i put JB Weld on it or will that not let it read the rotor holes?
