Hey guys-
Im trying to buy a brushguard for my 2004 (early) Sportsman 600. I found one on Ebay and they think its for a 2002 but not sure. Ive attached a pic for it. The instructions they have with it say the part # is 2874785.
It looks like it may fit but i want to be sure! Does anyone know for sure? TIA

 

i was thinking that an 04' is a different generation model then an 02'? if it is then they won't mount the same.
after trying to see what years they are i think that yours is a generation iv maybe?

 

I think youre right i think mines a Gen 6 maybe?

 

I have an '03 which I think is also is a different style then the '04 and the one you are showing looks like mine. If you have more of a side view of the mounting plate, it would be easier to tell. I know when I bought mine from the dealer they gave me the one for the wrong year and it stuck out way from the front end. I had to take it off and exchange it.

 

i did a search with your part number. says its a gen 4. it dosent say anything about it fiting an 04 600. lookes like it will only fit the types with the plastic bumper that is open on the ends like the 2000-2002yrs and some others like the 6x6.

Hey man, do you have any more pictures of the 05-10 front brushguard? I have been looking for a red one and they can't be found. I think i am going to try to modify an old gen 4 bruchguard to fit my 08 sportsman, but i need hole spacing on the mounting brackets. any help would be appreciated.

I’m late to this discussion, but I was hoping you still had the install instructions for this bumper?

I just bought an identical one and it didn’t come with instructions ... I’ve been searching all over the web for something and ran across this post.

Hopefully someone can help.
