I have the cash to go out Monday and get my new Quad. I am 205 and six one. I fit well on a Warrior(only a few rides) and wonder what everyone else thinks. Honda is the only option for me. I am going to ride a lot of trails and some sand. Is reverse worth the smaller engine and inferior suspension? I am more than capable of picking it up to turn around. Thanks for the help.

I have ridden both, and own a machine with reverse and a 400ex. Personally, I don't really miss it. Most of the time you can either spin the back end around, do a k turn off of an incline, or if worse comes to worse, I just get my lazy-*** off and push. And it's never a big deal with it only weighing 375lbs.

Ide way rather go for the extra power the 400ex puts out than buy an underpowered quad with a reverse gear . Its better to have the power when you need it than the luxury or reverse unless you cant manage to lift the back end of a quad and swing it around.
My 2 cents

Ride them both and find which one you like best.

You can always get a used 300ex and mod the hell out of it.
