Brake problems

Default Brake problems

I have a 2005 Polaris sportsman 500 ho and the seal busted on the back rear caliper. Is it better to buy new one or nuy the rebuild kit???

Welcome to the forums.

I'd at least try to rebuild it first. Never had to on my popo, so I can't even say for sure they sell it. They should. And it would be much cheaper than buying another. Just be sure to check all the other brake seals too.

check to see if there is rust/corrsion on the cylinder to stop it form going in and out in the caliper and to make sure it won't rip a new seal. if it's all good try for a rebuild kit. imo
