Same deal on my 850. Brought it to the dealer and they put a new one on no questions asked. New seat is a tad firmer and the staples are perfect. Just tell them you need a new seat.

The only "issue" of significance is the front end. Everything else is easy to fix and non-threatening. We'll see how Polaris addresses this serious problem. I'm confident it will be taken care of in relatively short order. They've got too much invested in this XP platform to do otherwise. Good that you got the extended warranty. I did the same.

There has been a few reports of seat problems on the XPs....staples coming out, staples rubbing the plastics underneath the seat ect. Maybe related...staples rub the plastic and that loosens the staples? I lined the plastic body panels where the staples were rubbing with some weather stripping, the rubbing might not have ever caused an issue, but I figured it couldn't hurt put something there to prevent the chaffing and the weather strip kind of put a little pressure on the staples maybe helping to hold them in lol. Anyway I never had a seat issue.
