Sportsman: I have been through two seats on my xp so far......same problem. I tried to fix the second seat, but my "fix" wouldn't work. My dealer got both of the replacement seats for me. The third one seems to be holding together. Maybe they have this issue fixed.

The problem is one that seems to have been common. Hope they get it fixed for you.

You'll know it if you've got a seat problem. The staples will be coming out when you turn the seat over.....you'll see where they are chewing into the main plastic body panel. Mine lost about 60% of the staples and they replaced it no problem. New seat is a tad firmer and the staples are perfectly placed and fully seated into the plastic seat frame. There's no mystery, either the staples are pulling out and/or bent over, or they're not and your seat is fine.
