I have a 04 sportsman 600 & need to remove the right drive shaft from the front gearcase.The manual says to pull driveshaft from gearcase but I can't seem to pull it out. The manual shows a circlip on the end of the shaft so it should pull out. Am I missing something here or does anybody have any ideas or tricks?

 

I don't have any first hand knowledge of doing this, but it is my understanding it can not be pulled out by hand. You will have to use multiple pry points with pry bars to pull it out. This is where a friend would come in handy, so you can both work around the joint in opposite locations.
