Thanks in advance...
Here is my situation. Bought the 2001 magnum 325 from an eighty year old man last year and have nothing but a head ake from it since, I use the bike for plowing snow
The problem is with the awd it is a intermitting problem happens some times and not others???????? After plowing for 20 min the awd light goes out and also the awd,, I have change the hub fluid and no change also changed the batterie no change checked for loose wires cand find any ,,took the trans switches apart cleaned and reassembled no change. Handle bar switch cleaned put back no change..
I have no speedo on this bike.
Two question can I bypass most of the switches and electrical and run awd all the time?? ( i want to fix it so I can sell it!!!) Will the reverse override switch cause this problem if so will it effect the awd in forward??can I bypass this switch if so how? I have tried to find the answers but not getting anywhere..
once again ty

Not sure if it's the same on yours, but I suspect it is. The speedo not working was the source of the problem on mine, disconnect the cluster, find the brown wire with white stripe. This wire should have 12v with key on & awd switch engaged. Then find the brown wire, this should be ground all the time. Connect the brwn/w wire to the brwn. Your problem should be gone, but please note, doing this disables some of the safety features of your quad, once you ground out this wire your awd switch becomes an instant awd switch, so you must be careful to only hit the switch and put it into awd when the vehicle is stopped, otherwise if you switch into it when the tires are spinning you are going to break some pricey parts.
