Default 2008 Sportsman 50 hour flasher reminder

Greetings,

My 50 hour reminder is flashing away and was wondering if anyone knows what combination of controls will disable the reminder. The 50 hour service was done before the actual 50 hours occurred so the dealer never had a chance to reset the timer. I looked through the manual but couldn't locate the info if it's in there.

Thanks in advance.

Here is what the Manual says. Toggle to service interval mode and then hold mode button in for 7 seconds until the word OFF appears in the rider information center. You can leave it off or wait 5 seconds and then press the mode button until the wrench Icon flashes, then press the mode button again to set the desired service increment, then release the button and wait until the wrench stops flashing.
Also if you do not no how to get to the diagnostic mode do this. Turn key off wait 10 seconds and turn it back on while holding the mode/reverse override button. It will need to be in neutral with the park brake set. Hope this helps

try looking at your owners manual under "features and control" section. look for "instrument cluster" then "diagnostic mode". it spells out the ways to check everything and not just the hour reset. it should be around page 50(at least in the 80o manual)

Glad I could help. What I sent was out of the Service Manual not the owners manual, but Stendori is right the owners manual has it also just not as much detail if I remember correctly.
