Careful on the ice. A whole family in VT just went through....Six went under and three came out. A bit colder up here than Ark.

would have been interesting if you would have caught the edges and flipped the bike lol. hopefully the front roller cage wouldn't get broke if the front end catches while rears only were spinning. looked like fun for you though.

Looks like fun. Ice donuts with the AWD on can be nice and tight. Just lean in and gun it. I saw the article about the family in VT. I've fished Lake Dunmore. I'm sure most of the lake is safe but there is a spot where a good sized stream comes in from the East. The area where they went in was between an island 2/3 the way out to the West and the stream. Be very careful where water comes in or out of a lake folks.

Big ditto on being safe on the ice!!! Lost a friend last winter about this time (Freak thing) Got him out and thought he'd be ok but died later that night from hypothermia.

I've camped on Dunmore Moose. That is such a sad story. I keep imagining being under 20' of water trapped under a snowmobile, or trying to get out from under the ice and unable to break through in 30 degree water, gasping for breath...wondering if your daughter wife, niece, is alive....pure terror until you fade away. It's just heart wrenching to imagine the last few minutes for this family. Really, really makes me think twice about going out onto ice on my machine; regardless of how safe it appears on the surface. Be frickin' careful.

No helmet? Well may not of mattered anyways IF the bigger things went wrong, maybe a thermal suit with scuba gear? lol...lol

Definately get the "Did a dumb thing today and lived to tell" award!

You know for some reason I think you should try that on just plain water when the temps rise, I think you will float on top, don't forget the your life vest!

Regards,

R'
