I sure could use some advise on these tire issues that I have.

1. What does "AT" in front of the tire size mean?

2. What does "NHS" after the tire size mean?

3. Are there "combo" tires available for both highway and off-road use? My ATV is licensed for highway use.

4. What do the tire size numbers mean? I have AT25x10-12 on the rear and 25x8.00-12NHS on the front.

5. Should the front and rear tires be the same so as not to cause wear on the 4x4?

AT = All Terrain
NHS = Non Highway Service
25 = tire is 25" tall
10 = tire is 10" wide
12 = tire mounts on 12" rim.

Tires can be the same size in the front as rear but most often they will be more narrow, but still just as tall. You may also notice that the rim is more narrow on the front, and you would not really want to put a wide tire on a narrow rim.

Yes there are 'combo' tires available - generally they will be hard rubber and not very deep tread and the pattern will be narrow, almost similar to what you would see on the rear of a lawn tractor for tread pattern.
