Default Ron Wood Racing CDI

Several years ago, I purchased the Stage 1 kit for my '05 DS 650 from Ron Wood Enterprises operating out of Costa Mesa, California. The kit arrived and I promptly installed the various components. The overall performance of the machine improved significantly and I was quite pleased. However, while riding last September at Little Sahara, Utah, the cdi that came with the kit failed and left me stranded in the dunes. Fortunately, a guy in a sand car pulled me back to camp. I was also lucky that it was the afternoon of my last day there. When I got back to Denver, I called Elliott at RWR to order another cdi. I knew this was an expensive part (over $300) but I did not want to go back to using the stock cdi. To say the least, I was very surprised when he said he would send me a replacement at no charge. I had heard before I bought the kit that Ron Wood has an excellent reputation for quality and customer service. I now see why.

Good deal Craig. I've had nothing but good service from Elliott myself and wouldn't hesitate to ever purchase from them again. Matter of fact I'm in need of some sprockets and they may once again be getting my business.

Too bad it's five months until the snow melts enough for you to try out your new CDI!LOL
Thanks for letting folks know your experience with RWR.

No question RWR are good people, I've had nothing but great experiences with them.

I plan on plenty of upgrades this spring. I will be giving RWR a call. I called them already with some questions.

Yea same thing happened to my box from Ron Woods. To say the least I too was impressed when they replaced at no charge even though it was a couple of years old.

Can't beat that kind of service.
