Happy new owner of a 2006 Scrambler 500 4x4...need suggestions on a new pipe / mods
#1
Just got a pretty much brand new Scrambler 500 in the awesome orange color. The power of the quad actually surpassed my expectation and my 08 brute 750 doesnt really stomp it like I wanted it to (only about 3-4 quad lengths to 45 from a standstill). I was also surprised just how easily the thing pops wheelies!
Now it's time to mod it and try to close the gap a little with the brute force. First things, I am thinking about getting a pipe since I already have a Uni filter for the bike. Any one have any suggestions of a pipe that is not much louder than stock? I can deal with pipes with a low rumble to them but hate the high pitch ones. Also, thinking the next step would be a clutch kit. Anyone have any suggestions for a good kit with noticeable power gains and better hookup? Thank you for any suggestions!

I am finding a lot of exhausts but some say they only fit up to certain years? Is that correct? I thought the scrambler hasn't changed! For instance some say from 96-05 or another said 98-02. Why the discrepancy?

gen3usa.com is an awesome site for these quads. i would look into the hpd full system or a white bros slip on if you can find one. for a clutch kit you can either get springs and a helix or go the better route of a roller secondary system. hpd or hsp are both good companys to look up or call rick at ritter cycle and he will set you up and ship everything you need. i can't say enough about his customer service. call him though because he doesn't answer emails too quick.
