Hey, I have a 01 Trail Blazer which has been sitting in the garage for a bit now. The problem is my friend took it out in the blizzard last week and he said something popped and now when I try to start it just sounds like something is just spinning and wont start at all. I think it might be the starter possibly, it seems like its trying to catch something to start but I have no clue.

Is it cranking the engine over or just spinning the starter? Does it still start and run with the pull cord?

 

It's just spinning, engine dosent crank over at all. I'm a total noob with atvs, haven't tried the pull chord.

 

sounds like the starter won't pp out to engage. chances are it will fire right up w/ the pull cord. you try tapping the starter w/ a small hammer to see if it is just stuck or if you need to remove it work work. imo

 

Pull start it, check the battery voltage or charge it just in case, try tapping the starter, it still doesn't make sense that he heard a pop then ur atv doesn't crank now, ur starter was engaged while riding was it?
