what size front and rear sprockets does everybody recomend for mx

 

I have a 400ex that has a TC 416cc full national motor and Tom Carlson told me to run a 15/40 or maybe a 15/39 and anything higher and the motor won't pull. He also told me to (with the new gearing) use 2nd gear in the starts instead of 1st

 

If you're running 18" rear tires(you should be for MX)I'd try 15/36 or even 15/34 Depending on you're motor work.My brother has a 13/1 comp 366EX and it will pull a 15/34 No Problem!!!!!
