no fire on 454 4X4

no fire on 454 4X4
I have a 96 454 4x4 cat. The last time I ran it I went 100 yds and shut off. Came out 1 hr later and wouldn't start. Starter engages, motor cranks. Not getting spark. Made sure run/off switch is on. Checked all plug connections. New plug. Is there a hidden fuse or breaker or something that would just fail that quick? Would coil fail like that? Stator?
