I've just bought a 98 500 sportsman and can't get the AWD to work. I've had the hubs apart they look good internally. Tested the resistance of coils, they tested at 23.8ohms, replaced the bulb in the switch, checked wires from the coils up to the junction block, they have good connection, checked wires from junction block up to the switch, they check out good. Kinda scratching from head from this point! Don't know what to do/check next? Does anyone have any ideas? Quad only has 3100 miles on it, other than AWD not working, it is great!
