Default 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 700 w/ EPS Right Choice?

Hi,
I'm going to pick up my 700 Grizzly 700 tomm. with EPS. Little late for this but I was looking really hard at the 500 HOnda Rubicon. I wanted the Honda because I wont use this Quad much but I wanted something reliable because I want to keep this machine for a long time. In looking at the reviews before my decision the Susuki King Quad came up a lot. I have some friends that have them and they love them. I feel im paying top dollar..but I'm fine with that if I bought the most reliable machine? Is the Yamaha in your opinion a right choice???

Lots of variables in this question. Everyone is different. I looked at the Grizz and it had great reviews and will probably be a great quad. I'm not a big Honda fan. Sure they are reliable, but they are just too far behind all the other manufacturers in regards to innovation. I went with an xp 850 because I am a power guy. The grizz isn't going to outrun a lot of quads, but it is a great all around quad. Just curious what price they are quoting you?

ill have to agree with 09 AR Sportsman. hondas are great atvs but lack components other atvs have or have had for years. For instance full locking 4wd and a motor that puts out horsepower numbers close to the class each atv is in. I think some even have the drum brakes still, and thats fine but for me ilike disc, horsepower, and full locking diffs. The suzuki gets good reviews for simply having just about everything everyone wants in an atv at usually a lower cost. In other words suzuki is the best bang for the money and are still a reliable atv. The grizzly is by far one of the best atv's out there as far as im concerned. it's been out for over 10 years(well they made it bigger and bigger as far as the motor goes as the time went on) started with the 600,then to the 660,and now the 700,but the transmissions have been excellant through all the years as well as the motor and the other components. When your talkin about which atv is best or better for you,it all comes down to what you like in each machine as they all offer different styles.

the 700 griz wins alot of big bore atv shootouts. take those for what they are worth, i have no experience on a yamaha, but i have a few friends that have griz's and they swear by them.

The ONLY thing I would like to have from the Rincon on my Grizz is the ride the Rincon gives. This is not to say the Grizz is bad by any means but that is the only thing that the Honda offers over the Grizz other than that the Grizz can do everything else better! You will be hard press to find ANY Grizz owner not happy with there machine!
