My '99 Big Bears front left drive shaft has managed to come out the front differential, and I'm tying to get help as to how to repair it.

Has anyone here had this happen? It looks to me that the front diff would need to be split open, and then,.................?

Is there like a "keeper" ring that keeps the shaft locked into place on the inside of the diff?
