i have been working on my sons wheeler here is what i have done replaced boot on right rear lower and replaced the wheel bearing, cv joint on inner left and boot I am still having a problem with a clicking noise/ binding. It has had this noise since the begining. I removed the brake and it still does it it apperar to only do it when backing up and turning left or right if you back up straight it does not do it it does not do it when jacked up on the rear. I did not replace the outer cv joint on the right side it looked ok. it appers the noise is coming from the right rear side any ideas
i am lost it appears the when you turn the wheel to the leff when backing up it really binds up i am on pavement when i am performing this test also how do tell if the alignment is ok tks for your time

Just a clicking cv joint is all it is probably got a little dirt inside it at sometime if the noise isnt bothering you dont worry about it if it is bothering you then replace the joint or just replace the whole axle and keep that axle as a spare but that is 9/10 the problem!!!

I will let you know I may remove the cv joint from thhe right side and see if it still binds up it doesnt bind up when the rear end is jacked up but i think you maybe on the right track wish me luck tks for talking

Well dont just remove one and then ride it as that could bust the pinion in the rear end all by itself if anything just switch the axle's put the left one on the right and the right to the left they are both the same so its ok to do that also you may remove the drain plug for the rear end and see if any shavings come out in the gear oil and check that out as well. Hopefully you do find the problem in the rear end though as you dont wanna know what my next thought on the problem could be if it isnt found in the rear end!!
