Default Arctic Cat Rear Axle removal question

I cant get the axle to release from the rear. Running an 05 650 H2. Tried the push then pull method without success. Any ideas? Also, if I do get that to work, will the spring clip require replacement when reinstalled?
thanks
pb

Pau,l I ended up removing the cv boot band peeling back the boot and then you will see a spring clip right on the edege
remove that and it will come right out they do not need to be replaced with a new one they are 1/16 th round you will need a very small screw driver be careful with the ball bearings when you pull out the shaft. you can go to you tube a watch them pull one out. anf ?? let me know good luck

OK. If I understand correctly, the C Slip is at the outer edge of the CV Joint housing? (away from the rear differiental). This will allow the axle to slide out of the CV Joint then, correct? I will look again at the U Tube videos. The only one I saw was of a 2004 400, using the "pull" method, using the axle as it's own slide hammer.
Thanks

Paul That is correct I didnt like pulling the axel ou,t just watch out for the bearing to the cv joint also you will have to reband the boot. which means you will need a bander and bands if you do it my way. the c clip is right on the edge. its had to find because of the gease but just start it with a small screw drive and work it right out,
you will also have to add grease. let me know how you made out,
