Question 2005 kodiak 450 backfiring update

hey guys i got an update on my back firing, well i went up to a field at my girlfriends house, its pretty high up and turned the idle a little higher so it had a nice idle, i would speed down the field full throttle and 3/4 throttle and it never back fire once on deacceleration, i did this at least 10 times. I then went back down the hill from the field and went on the side of her road, first time i went down the rode it back fired on deacceleration right when it was almost at idle? so what do you guys tihnk I should do? i do have a 2inch power tip with a spark arrestor. would this having something to do with elevation, The field is at a higher elevation but not like huge like a mountain? plus also looks fine to me.

Let me know guys?

O yeah and my left rear diff seal is leaking, should i take it to the small power sports place to get it fixed or attempt it myself, i don't see how they could charge me for to much.I almost would rather pay and know its perfect, rather then screw things up, I just wanna ride!!!!
