I had my dealership put on new brake pads all the way around when I had them rebuild my master cylinder. They flushed the lines and filled with new brake fliud. Pretty much the whole nine-yard brake job. Now after I ride for awhile my rear brakes start to sqeak and drag. It does nothing at first, they have to get hot befroe they drag and **** me off. Do I need to re-bleed the system? Any suggestions?

There may be an explanation...or it may just be one of those Polaris things again. My inlaws both have Sportsmans which squeak no matter what. They have changes there brakes a few times too and it still does it. Someone once told me it could be the rotor. My mother-in-laws started squeaking after my wife rode 1 mile with the hand brake on...not so good.

Xplor,

Thanks. I did notice when I replaced my brake pads that the rotor had a good sized grooze cut into it and it was glazed (blued) from over heating. Will be replacing this item. Thanks.

Also I think metal expands some when hot. I don't know how much the brake rotor could expand though.Anyways remember its a quad not a BMW alot of the small things like that won't really hurt anything unless it just really irratates you.

Also, I used automotive disc brake anti-squeal on the back of the pads and it cured the problem. If you need more info, E-Mail me.

I replaced my rear brake rotor and all problems stopped. My old one must have been slighly bent.

thanks.

I find that when I clean the brake rotors the sqeaking stops, find the simple problems first before spending money for no reason.

Scramdaddy400,

I replaced my rotor because it was bent, worn, glazed from overheating, and had a cut in the middle. Yeah, it was shot! It cost me $30. You are right about cleaning the brakes every so often. It does help a lot.
