need help older polaris 4x4

Default need help older polaris 4x4

i own a 94 polaris 300 went out for the first time this year and went muddin about 2 hours into the ride i started hearing like a screeching sound from the front of the wheeler so i stopped and greased up the front end where the chain hooks to fron assembly is all i get for a part name but i noticed when cleaning off that all the grease i pumped in was not where it should be inside the assembly it was all over the space behind where the chain cover is is it possible that it cracked i have not pulled it out yet wanted your opinions frist

maybe a bearing gone? any play in it?

i grabbed the u joint and shook it there was no play in it i kept regular greasing after every ride so iam at a loss

There are 2 bearings with a spacer between them in each essentric wich tighten the chains,might have one going ba.

y would all of the grease end up behind the ecentric and should i just replace the bearing i always made sure there was grease in those
