Default Raptor 350 vs. Warrior Frame

My boss trashed his raptor 350 and wants me to rebuild it (needs frame and most of the front end), but its pretty hard to find a raptor 350 frame so i was wondering if i could just use a warrior frame since they are more abundant. what are the differences throughout the years? dont the CDI's mount in different places?

The Warrior frame will not work unless you do a lot of welding and fabrication. The main frame tubes are the same, but all of the mounting tabs for all of the fenders are different. The gas tank mounting tabs are not even close, the headlight mounts are way different, the exhaust mount is different, the lower rear fender mounts are different. On the plus side, the swingarm, steering stem, a-arms, and engine will bolt right up. Save yourself some trouble and wait for a Raptor 350 frame. I bought one off Ebay years ago for about $400 and there was a local guy here that had a complete well-worn Raptor 350 he was selling for $700 on Craigslist.
