Cool 87 trail boss

I have a 87 trail boss that just doesn't want to start
it turns over it has spark and gas doesn't seem to be getting on the spark plug gas is going into air box it looks like it's flooding itself from the look of how much gas goes into the airbox and nothing i do seems to stop it

Pour a little bit of gas down the spark-plug hole and reinstall plug.....Then see if it will start up then stall..........You may have a bad air leak between the carb mount flange/boot that is sucking in air instead of fuel........Caper...............

what is the compression, is the float sticking open causing the flooding mentioned. as mentioned check for air leaks cracked carb boot. imo

Also if the float has stuck it can flood the pipe causing the same issue

It won`t start if its supper flooded. Did you drain the engine? to do this you`ll have to remove the skid plate and there is a small 10mm bolt on the bottom of the engine take it out let engine drain and reinstall.
I too think its sucking air from somewhere its not supposed to. if your quad has sit for any length of time I`d be looking at the Carb boot and crank seals.
