Hey guys I'm new here and I recently acquired a 1999 scrambler 500 HO.
The bike runs great but there's only one problem. someone took the 4wd off of it. I have recently purchased the transfer case and the drive shaft and the axles off eBay. but when I went to assemble everything I noticed someone cut the output shaft coming out of the transmission off. So i looked and looked and finally found one on eBay on a good deal. It already is pressed into the cover. My question is has anyone replaced this gear before? Do I have to take the whole transmission off? any pointers would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance
