new battery....no charger!!!

Yup, bought a $45 cheap-o from Wal-mart (everstart), filled it with acid, hooked up the charger awhile later, and phoomp, no charger no more....hmmm
Anyway, can I just hook some jumper cables from a car battery to the ATV battery and let and sit for awhile and accomplish anything?
Or would I be able to throw it in the scrambler and ride around awhile to get it to charge?
Just wondering what my options are till I get ahold of a charger.
Thanks!!

Your only option is to pick up another charger . The bikes charging system is only designed to maintain a charge not charge a battery up and cables won't do **** . Don't buy or use a automotive charger buy a charger thats designed for power sport batteries like the The smartest battery chargers in the world, by CTEK Power INC. chargers .

Ditto on charging. Seen a few posts where folks have bought dirt cheap trickle chargers from Harbor Freight Tools and had no issues. I got mine years ago from Batteries Plus for @ $25. Use it regularly on all my wheelers/bikes and it's still going strong.

Don't think I'd advise it. You may overload the charger and destroy it if it wasn't originally designed for it.
