05 800 sportsman ? about side panels

Default 05 800 sportsman ? about side panels

Whats the best way to get the side panels to stay up tight and not move around with out drilling?

do you mean the panels right under the seat? they only snap in place w/ the plastic tabs. maybe they have been taken off so many times that the taps are worn out??

I agree with Sten. They never seem to fit really snug from the start.

I used Scotch #2242 rubber electrical tape from home depot.
Put a two or three small pieces along the top groove

I have this problem with my 02 sportsman 500. The front fender rattles at certain rpms. It's very annoying. :S

What is drilling I've never heard of that ?

i would guess he means drilling and tapping for screws
