need help with ron woods tm 45

got a 01 ds 650 with ron woods pipe cdi box and mikuni carb tm45 am currently running a 145 main jet a 40 pilot jet all the wheeler does is turn over and backfire also runnin 113 octane if that makes a difference dont know much about slide carbs im still stuck in the old two stroke days any help would be huge

Unless you have the compression jacked up drop back to pump 92. The 145 main is good for a direct mount filtet,maybe a 150 main. Check you plugs . Sounds like they might be fouled.

put 145 main in runnin #40 pilot and a y7 needle seat and also put new plugs in. Was completely amazed fired right up and idled way better than it ever has but as soon as you jam the throttle it coughs out and dies it has a ron woods tm 45 so the pumper is stripped off. Which I guess is great for racing but i dont race if anything i run radar runs so im pretty sure im gonna order the pump accerlerator for it, any other info would be huge.

I really have to ease into to get it to go going to order the pumper kit, are they hard to install?
