Im new here. i ride a 2004 AC 500 4x4. I love my kitty, but have encountered a problem that i need advice on.


my atv stalls out and dies sometimes when driving. I got the battery tested and it was fine. from fully charged the quad will start and drice fine for a couple rides then it will start to bog out when i give it throttle. from there it will shut down and i will be unable to start it. the digital display will not turn on. if i boost it with another battery it will start and idle but as soon as i use an accsory it dies.

help please. i believe it is the charging system but to replace a magneto is not cheap so i am hopeing one of you can help me figure it out inorder to avoid that purchase.

when i had a bad battery i would winch with it and as soon as i started drawing power the engine would just die like you said. i know you said you checked the battery out but did you make sure all connections are clean on the battery and you have good grounds?
