If i buy one of the packs that go on the rear rack that has a seat, does it make it leagle for 2 people to ride at most parks?. I'm in IL.

You probably need to check with your local laws/DNR. Some places may let it fly and other may not. A DNR officer in lower southwest MI. told me that the machine must be designed for two people due to the added weight of an additional rider, Or another way it was explained to me was that the suspension had to be heavier and the wheel base longer for two. I do not know if this applies in all states though.

Ditto on above! Not illegal here in MN (unless you are a minor) but it is frowned upon.

Default 2-Ups

In PA it is illegal to run 2 people on any state trail and most all atv parks. Your solution in Pennsylvania is either a 2-Up or a Side-by-Side.

We have a 2009 Polaris 800 Touring and there is a world of difference riding with an atv designed for two people. It has a longer wheelbase, rear seat, passenger foot plates, and passenger hand grips.

They cost a little more, but if you are going to ride with someone it is worth it.

i think in most states it's not legal but up here they do it all the time w/ out too much issue even though it's illegal.
