Default 2004 Sportsman 400 Speedometer

OK....unfortunately, I know next to nothing about ATV's....bought a 2004 Sportsman 400 that looks good, runs great and has a ton of extras. The only issue is the speedometer doesn't register speed or mileage. After reading the posts on here, I was super worried that the 4x4 wouldn't work either. I had a work order from the previous owner that stated the mechanic found a broken wire for the high beam and the speedo and fixed it (this was just a couple of months ago)....I took it to my mechanic and he said there are some wires missing completely, but that the 4x4 and everything else works except the speedo (and high beam)....couple of questions....what is the part number for the harness and the speedometer? Is it even worth replacing or should I not worry about it? AND is there anyone in MN that would be able to help me out? Let me know....thanks!

SORRY posted about wrong machine!! Speedo mileage and speed controlled by sensor cable coming from right front brake caliper ( #4010298) Common problem for them to go out. OPT
