Carb removal from trail boss 1998

Default Carb removal from trail boss 1998

can anyone tell me hoe to remove carb from 1998 trail boss?

If its like most Polaris ATVs, go from under the seat, just remove the AIr box. Its kinda tight from the side.

The trail boss of that year uses a Mikuni Round slide Carb. This is a snow machine "how to",but the same carb.Disassembly and Cleaning of a Mikuni Round slide Carburetor

great thanks is there a trick to getting the plunger and spring out, got it loose but it wont come out

Glad to here it, if the plunger would not come out easily then it needed a cleaning for sure.

Is this the same carb as on the 98' xplorer 300? I need to clean and or repair mine but I have never done anything like this before.

If its a 2 stroke ,its the same carb.

We had difficulty with removing the carburetor of my friend's Polaris before. We tried researching and saw this one: Polaris Sportsman ATV Carb Ultrasonic Cleaning

With the help from other forums, we were finally able to clean it.
