As most of you all know I removed the Mudrunners due to poor ride quality. With springtime mud season coming up soon I wish I could put them back on but...what can be done to keep the handling good? Stiffer springs were a no-no. I look at those tires sitting on the big shelf in the garage and would like to remount them...maybe.

Can anything be done?

xplor,
did u find that the quality of ride depended on what pressure u were running in the tires??
maybee higher pressure would smooth out the ride, but would give u a bit less traction.

I have tried all types of air pressures. Nothing seemed to work. They rubbed and bit into everything.

On another note: The whole power loss thing didn't bother me...it was the way the front end kept biting into everything. Steering ease was great but it was "jolty". The rubbing was a bit annoying too but could most likely be fixed if I were to add a spacer/washer at the bottom of the spring.

One thing I may have overlooked is maybe my front springs were tired...could explain it a bit.

I'm not saying this is it, but i had mudrunners on my SP and ran a little ruff, but I thought it was because I had more aggresive tires, then when I brought it to the dealer to put the clutch kit in he told me I had my tires on backwards. I did't pay much attention when mounting, thought shiny part out didn' matter what side. I was wrong and looked stupid to,changed them ran much smoother. Just a suggestion.

The sidewalls on the Mudrunners are very heavy duty. There is very little sidewall flex compared to the standard tires which firms up the ride.
